I DO Is the Creation of Lynda Barness

portrait of Lynda Barness, Master Wedding ConsultantLynda Barness has been an experienced, award-winning businessperson, but she also happens to be a mom with a married daughter whose wedding she planned. That experience taught her a lot — and became her inspiration.

She started with a Certificate Program at Temple University in Wedding Planning and Consulting, and she added additional training in Wedding Tents. This blossomed into a new career.

lynda_award_ceremonyLynda Barness has now been recognized as a Master Wedding Consultant™ by the Association of Bridal Consultants.

She is one of a total of 69 worldwide to have earned this designation.

Barness Receives Wedding Planning Recognition From International Association

Lynda Barness, Master Wedding PlannerTM, has been named an Industry Leader by Wedding Planner Magazine in its September/October 2016 issue.

The magazine chose just TWO Industry Leaders in the Wedding Planning/Design category, and Lynda Barness was one. Frank J. Andonoplas was also named. Two vendors were named as leaders, as were a social media leader and an association leader.

Barness became a wedding planner as an encore career and received this recognition in her 12th year in the wedding  industry. Prior to this, Barness spent over twenty years as a homebuilder and real estate developer in the Greater Philadelphia, PA, region. She published a book, “I DO: A Wedding Planner Tells Tales,” in 2015.

Wedding Planner Magazine is “inspired” by the Association of Bridal Consultants, which is “the oldest and largest training organization for wedding professionals in the world, with over 4,000 members located in all 50 states and in 27 countries.”

Readers were asked to nominate “those individuals who exhibit true leadership qualities in the wedding industry,” and then the Advisory Board made their selections.
