If you read this blog frequently, you know that I love seeing personal and sentimental touches at weddings… and here was another wedding that had some meaningful and heartfelt moments.

The parents of the bride met when both were in the U.S. Navy.  The bride’s dad is a Rear Admiral, USN (ret), and he wore his military uniform to the wedding. And, the bride’s mother’s sword was used to cut the cake. Finally, while the couple was cutting the cake, a replica of that same sword (that was a letter opener) was placed on the couple’s table as a surprise from the parents.

More special memories were made this night!
