I received a call from a bride’s father who is very involved in the planning of his daughter’s wedding. Today he had a number of questions, and we discussed food stations, buttered hors d’oeuvres, and other food-related issues. Then he asked about the father-daughter dance. He and his daughter will start dancing lessons within the month, and he wanted to know if I thought the music should reflect his feelings about the bride or just be something that would be easy for their dance. I told him that the decision is clearly personal, and I promised to go back and look at some other recent weddings I have helped to plan to see what the music choices were for this dance.
Here’s what I came up with:
Used more than once:My Girl- TemptationsMy Little Girl- Tim McGrawThe Way You Look Tonight– SinatraI Loved Her First- HeartlandAnd here are some others:Never Lose Your LoveIsn’t She LovelyThey Can’t Take That Away From MeThese Are The Days- 10,000 ManiacsIn My Life- BeatlesGod Only KnowsStand By MeI’ll Be There- Jackson Five
Lots of choices here!
