PhillyMag – Jill and Peter Murphy

The orange, green, and navy color scheme was carried throughout and made a big color splash in the wood-lined ballroom. This was even evident with a signature drink, called Murphy’s Magic: There was orange cotton candy in the bottom of small martini glasses, and the servers poured alcohol over it (which, of course, made the cotton candy disappear, hence the magic!)The groom, Peter Murphy, is a Lieutenant in the US Navy. The Philadelphia theme was also prevalent. The Union League is an historic building, and photos were taken both outside the League and on Broad Street in front of it, with a view towards Philadelphia’s City Hall. The bride’s parents also surprised the guests with an appearance by a Mummers band, Fralinger’s String Band, a fun Philly tradition… and guests were given the traditional Philly soft pretzels as they departed the reception.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Murphy emerge for the first time as husband and wife.
